Coal miner Anglo American will increase production in the year 2018

One of the major mining company Anglo American has plans to double coal production to support the steel making in America in the year 2018 if their proposal is approved by the U.S. Senate.

They are “Anglo American” will also focus on the production of coal mining around Queensland, Australia, Ian Cockerill, as Chief Executive dikatankan Anglo’s coal units, at a mining conference hosted by investment bank Credit Suisse.

Anglo American, and indeed a large coal mining company that produces thermal coal for power generation in the world, as well as thermal coal will be exported to china and in 2009 again started exporting thermal coal to Asia. (more…)

Company EWP and LG in South Korea, to consider joint venture of coal in Australia

Power Company Co. Ltd. and LG Corp. to consider the cooperation with Australia in 2009, to get the coal in the spot market for the EWP.

Cooperation between EWP and LG Corp. is also the signals that will switch from traditional practices of the security under the contract, the volume of long-term, and may herald a more active trading market in Asia.

South Korea, the world’s second largest after the steam coal importers Japan, imported 90.5 million tons of bituminous and sub-bituminous coal in 2008. Australia is a top supplier, shipping 36.4 million tons, or 40 percent of the volume.

South Korea has utility in the last few years, increased spot market purchases in a bid to take advantage of the price of exhilaration.

Coal Mining Company CII seeks to increase the boat to increase coal output

Coal is a fuel source for electricity in India and is likely to be the main fuel for the present and future. Therefore, the supply of coal is very important to ensure that the plan of the addition of electric power capacity is not derailed because of internal inadequate coal production.

Mooiplaats start to export the coal mine in November 2009

Coal Sector in Vietnam increase the target 43 million tonnes this year

There was a change in a very good Coal Mining Industries Group (TKV) that Vietnam has decided to increase coal production began in 2009 from 40 million to 43 million tons to be from the target that has been planned and set in the previous year

TKV group said that will increase coal production to meet the targets, with priority given to major customers such as coal power plant, fertilizer industry, paper and cement. And will develop a chain and production facilities, and diversified products for domestic and export market in 2009 and following years.

Until now, the group has requested TKV subsidiary mining to speed up production, develop new mines, expand existing mines, including Vang Danh, and Khanh Hoa Khe Cham, and will begin to invest in coal gasification projects under the ground under the Red River from the I beds.

Power of Coal in China has increased the supply of Coal, UBS Says

Increased coal prices in Asia in 2010 know very brisk demand from the country because China is growing, according to UBS AG report.

Coal and iron ore contract win

Monadelphous Group has announced it has secured contracts with a combined value of $100 million in the aluminium, coal and iron ore markets.

The contracts are with customers including BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, with the majority of the contracts are in central Queensland.

In a first for the company, Monadelphous will be working on two dragline shutdowns for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) at its Blackwater coal mine in the Bowen Basin in central Queensland.

Also in the Bowen Basin, the company has been awarded a contract to fabricate and construct a radial stacker for BMA’s Peak Downs coal mine.

In Gladstone, central Queensland, Monadelphous has been awarded a package of work to install an Automated Alumina Delivery System and associated infrastructure as part of Rio Tinto’s Boyne Smelter Development Project. (more…)

South Africa’s coal industry needs to ready itself for the next coal boom, which will undoubtedly occur, states Anglo Coal South Africa CEO Ben Magara on page 9 of this edition of Mining Weekly.rnrnMagara told McCloskey’s South African Coal Conference, in Cape Town, that all coal companies must collectively attack strategic issues in order to ensure that South Africa didn’t lose out on the next boom, as it had lost out on the one just past.rnrnHe stated that all South African coal-miners were still digging in the depleting Witbank coalfield and that the migration to the Waterberg coalfield had been “very slow”.
